1. The headquarters command of the 30 Infantry Division was located in Varazdin..
The members of the commanding staff were identified as follows:
a. Commander: Lieutenant Colonel Kovacevic (a national hero);
b. Political Commissar: Major No Stipetic;
c. KOS Chief: Major Ccijko Milikic; and
d. KOS Deputy Chief: Lieutenant Lisac.
An unidentified artillery regiment was.billeted in the former artillery
barracks in Varazdin, while an unspecified artillery unit, which is a com-
ponent of an unidentified artillery regiment with headquarters in Zagreb,2.
was quartered in barracks located on Optaiska Street, Varazdin.
2. The 11 Cavalry Regiment was stationed in Smederevska Palanka,3 under the
staff comprising the following individuals:
a.
Commander: Lieutenant Colonel Stanko Baslin;
b.
Political Commissars Captain Stojan Drakulic;4
c.
Director of Basic Training:
Lieutenant Rado Popovic;
d.
Chief of Operations Section:
Major.Jovo Musika;
KOS Chiefs Lieutenant Mane Karan;

3. The following military units were observed in Zagreb.
a. An unspecified regiment of Tito Guards was housed in the old infantry
barracks on Lubianska Street; and
b. An unidentified antiairc5aft artillery unit was billeted in the cavalry
barracks on Selska Road.

of 30 Infantry Division (formerly the 14 Slovene Assault Division),
of the 2 (12) Army, 5 Military District, is in Varazdin.
2. Comment: This unit is possibly a component of the.
11 Artillery Corps (formerly the 2 Artillery Corps), 25X1
its headquarters in Zagreb.
3. Comment.- This information is confirmed by reports
