THIS IS UNEVALUATED INFORMATION
25X1 1, The following auxiliary airfields were under construction in Yugoslavia during
the period from May to July 1951;
a. An airfield located northeast of Demirovac in Pakrac, Bosnia, was being
constructed in a former wooded area which was sparsely covered with
wild vegetation. This airfield can be reached by way of the Demirovac-
Crahovo road. The preliminary work of blasting tree stumps, clearing
shrubs and bushes, and filling in small ditches and hollows in the
ground, was begun during May 1951. An area some 200x?00 meters was
cleared for the airfield by men attached to an unidentified Air Co s
labor unit. This labor unit, composed of some 70 men_,

it Command. The men of this unit had been working on the area for
two months. Shovels, spades, picks, axes, wheelbarrows and other equip-
ment were observed in the area.,

b. An airfield is located some eight kilometers southeast of Bos Dubica, near
Kostajnica Mirkovac, Croatia, and is some 2,000x700 meters in size. On
one side of this field, the terrain is rather hilly and uneven, several
of the hills being 10 and 20 meters in height. The other side of the air-
field has level terrain which is covered with dense forest vegetation.

specified Air Corps labor unit which cleared the Demirovac area.
