,_An aluminum factory is located between Tatab6nya and Fels5galla (Q48/ZO.).
Three shifts, 2,4OO men altogether, work here. There are five large smelters
in, the main building. The aluminum is sent to the Soviet Union in block form.
The electrical power station is fueled with lignite. It was.eri1ar d during
the sunnier I.of 1951.
The Tatabanya coil mine, shayi't No. XV is,pro 7uuci .g 600-700 minercars daily,
against a planned quota of l,1OO,'""Therelare 54+0 miners, working in three
shifts. Shortage of mine timber frequently causes layoff . iNhe feeling
among the miners is bitter. They get no more than 650-7o Fori9ts a month.
At the commissary they reFeive weekly 1.2 kg of flour, .5 kg of jugar, ,.3 kg
of margarine, .3 kg of bacon and .251kg of meat.
