received an order from Poland for 55 electric locomotives. The locomotives
are to operate on 3,000 volts. Each will incorporate two 1,500 volt
motors i n line. The specifipJion demands a collector speed of 50 meters
per second, which is considerably higher than the present usuf.l max.imumf
of approximately 35 meters per second.. r
