1, The following routes, all in the vicinity of the Yugoslav frontier, have
been under repair by Rungaraai prisoners (sic; deportees2) under the supervision
of Russian. engineers
a. BAcsborsod-- Madaras, repair of an 8 km. stretch on Route 542.
b. ;3a ja _. Sara - Acsszentgy8rgy, a 24 km. stretch
It. Acsalmas to the frontier, a 12 km. stretch on Route 541.
d.o Tompa to the frontier, a stretch of 6. km. on Route 53.,
e. KatymAr to the frontier, a stretch of 5 km.
f. R h.a - T. anube, a stretch of 10 km>
gQ Ottomos to the frontier, a stretch of 12 km.
The repairs on the above roads were to be finished. by 1 March 1952.
2. Route 733, between Ra.hot and. KorpavAr, was resurfaced in 1951. Due to heavy
military traffic this road is again in urgent need of repair. Particularly
the Hah. t - Zalaszentba: ,zs distance is bad. and work on this stretch is to
begin immediately.
3. On Route 65 the B5hSnye - Inke - Bagdkas.nc stretch was repaired and opened to
traffic during February 1951. The concrete surface of this road is well nigh
impassable now because of faulty construction and very heavy traffic. It is
known that during April 1951 Route 69 was closed rdi ar traffic and reserved.

4.. There are two road-construction projects in progress whose primary purpose is
to facilitate better communication between Debrecen and the major airfield at
K'u.nmadaras s
a. A new road is under construction between Tisza8rs and. Route 33. It is
comtempiated that this road will connect with Route 33 about 17 km. east
