to On 1 February 1952, the Kwangsi Military ]District ordered the mobilization of
cadre personnel from troop units stationed in Kwangsi in order to expedite
the completion of land reform throughout Kwangsi and to give these troops
practical experience in land.reform work, The order was issued in accordance
with directives from the Chinese Communist Party Committee for Kwangsi and the
Kwangsi Land Reform Committee.
2. By mid-February about 3,000 cadre personnel, all above company grade, had been
mobilized: 1600 from troop units under the direct command of the Kwangsi
Military District; 600 from units of the 21 Army Group; 7pO f om units of the
13 Army Group; and 100 from the public security forces ( () of Kwangsi.
They were to assist in checking the land reform work already accomplished,
