Military Command, with LIN Tsun deputy commander of the East China Navy, and Soviet Adviser Mo-ni-kro-fu_1 ), arrived in Tsingtao to inspect the defenses along the Shantung coast and the Tsingtao garrison. On 23 February 1952 HSIANG Ming (~ U ), deputy commander of the Shantung 2. On 23 February the 35 Army2 and one garrison column were stationed along the Tsingtao-Tsinan railroad, 6100 marines were stationed at Laoshank'ou (120-39, 36-12) andNanchuang (120-16, 35-59), and an independent artillery regiment of the 3 Field Army was in the Chiaochouwan (120- , 36- ) and Laoshanwan (120- , 36- ) area. 3. A total of 16 long-range guns and field guns were installed at Yumen ( .F ) on Huangtao (120-1)4,36-02) and at Laoshanwan. The Laoshanwan area is prohibited to visitors, and has barbed wire barricades and other defenses. 4. In mid-February, under the Three-Anti's movement, 10 officers and 3?-non- commissioned officers of the 2 Division, Tientsin Garrison Command.., were charged with corruption through contacts with Tientsin merchants,. On 19 February this division, which consisted largely of new recruits, was transferred to Hsinho (117-38, 39-03) for reorganization and indoctrination.
