An ahalisis of latest inforlaation indicats that almost all the fuel required by the oviet occupation forces in Germany is furnished by the Soviet -,e refineries. The monthly fuel requirements of the !:;oviets are estimated at 25,000 to 35,000 cubic meters, including 6000 to 10,000 cubic feters for the army (ahollt one complete -replenishment of all containers); 15,00;) to 20,000 cubic meters for the air force; and 3000J to 5,000 cubic meters for the !Lavy. The 1952 fuel production quota for Soviet zone refineries was set at 711,03,! tons of gasoline and 4770000 tons of Diesel oil or 570?000 cubic meters of gs;oline and 5600003 cubic meters of jiosel oil. The fuel requirerients of the Soviet armed forces therefo--, represent 30 to 35 percent of the Soviet Zone fuel output. .:Jurin,7, the last six months, only about 1,000 cubic meters of fuel per month wei shipped from the upsa. to Soviet supply dumps in Germany Those shipments, whicl cover only a minor oart `' the nonthly fuel requirements of the Soviet Occupation Luy, a22ear to consist of staial fuels or admixtures and anti?freJzo agents. Fuel deliveries from Azaania Lave not been observed in the last nine months. On th! other hand a trade agreulent has been concluded with Austria for an annual dtlivery of 120,000 tons of cr-Ade oi. Zrom Zistersdorf, Austria. This contract is supplemeited by the delivery of alogedly 4J0030 to450,000 cubic meters of to )ed crude oil, ap7roximately 20,333 railroad tank carloads, from.,;istersdorf, for firt.ter refinin into gasoline, Diesel oil and petroleum qowever? accordinc tc.anothor report, only 1200003 tons -if toped crude oil are to be delivered from ziitersdorf in addition to the crude oil shipnnnts arranged for in the trade n Tooment nontioned above. Soviet Army corps are not included in the supply chanaolo nor do they maintain their own supely dumps, This also applies to Ile air force. The air force depots in Riese and Aken belong to the Twenty-eoerth Air Army, and the depot in Jueterbog iv believed to be an installatioa serving the local air unit. As the fuel requireeents of the Soviet areec: forme in Lerrany repreeent only about one third of the tetal fuel output in the :;ovict Zone ef Gonlany and Oar: an civilian consumption of fuel is strictly rationed, sizable fuel shipments levo the 3ovint Zeno of Germany either as reparsthns or export deliveries. Shipments arc reported on periodically,.
