The Soviets are constructing two new railway lines in the Murmansk area.
One of these new lines runs north to the Pechenga (69-33N, 31-12E) nickel
mines from a point west of Kandalaksha (67-09N, 32-26E) on the Kandalaksha-
Kemija'rvi (66-40N, 27-25E , Finland) lineawhich now has a double track. This
new line will join another new railway line being constructed between
Pechenga. and Kola (68-52N, 33-OOE).
