Barracks at Fehrbellinerstrasse
7. Most of the activity takes place in the yard and in the armories, where
artillery training takes place. Tight (sic) field guns seem to be in uses
with cylinders above and beneath the barrels. Their calibre is estimated
at 7.5 cm. The barracks are about 75% illuminated and do not appear to
be fully manned.**
Staff Headquarters at Corner of Fehrbelliner- and Karl Liebkneehtstrasse
9. A division headquarters is located here. During the Hitler period a reserve
hospital was located there. The Russian hospital is located on the road
to Fehrbellin, outside the city.**-*
10 Since 10 January officers with black shoulder loops bearing gold anchors
have been observed in the town. It is believed that they are quartered in
the See-Kaserne, as they are seen entering and leaving there.

Comment: two tank regiments of 12th Guards Tank
Division are quartered. here. Tanks have been observed
here before.
Comment: A field artillery regiment of 12th Guards Tank Division is
presumed to be quartered here.
Comment; This is probably the headquarters of the 12th Guards Tank
Division, which according to earlier reports, is quartered here.
L omment. This appears to be a pontoon bridge unit. An independent
pontoon bridge battalion is attached to the 2nd. Guards Mechanized Army,- but
it has so far been quartered at Neubrandenburg. This report may give some
indication of a transfer to Neuruppin. This cannot be immediately confirmed,
however, but will probably come to light as the regroupings following the
autumn maneuvers are clarified.
