THIS IS UNEVALUATED INFORMATION
1. The Jan Sverma (formerly Walter) plant, Prague-Jinonice*, now produces only
Rolls Royce jet engines. Seven were completed by 15 April 1952; ten are
currently in production. The immediate production target is'the completion
of one unit per day. The current low production is caused by lack of special
parts which are to be delivered by the USSR.
The factory has been enlarged by addition of a new wing. The entire plant
is to be subterranean. Excavation work is going on under the Cerna Vrch
bill in Prague-Kosire.
` Comment: This appears to be the plant which bag been known as
the ranch plant Walter of the Skoda Works, Trebizakeho street 41, Prague
Kosire. Jinonice is a part of Kosire.

The Jan Sverma (formerly Walter) plant in Prague -Jinoniee* employs about
4,000 people. Two Russian engineer-specialists have been assigned to the
plant to speed up production.
With the exception of certain special sections which work 24 hours a day,
the factory works in two eight-.hour shifts.
