THIS IS UNEVALUATED INFORMATION
1. Chiamussu is the center for Soviet military activity in Northeast Manchuria. Two
military airfields and two air force academies in the area are under the complete
control of the Soviet Air Force.
2. One of these air training centers instructs only Chinese Communist Air Force
personnel, and approximately 500 cadets recruited from China arrive there'each
month. In early April more than 6,000 air students were being trained at
Chiamussu,1

The second air training centez trains students for the International Liberation
Air Force. 25X1
the Chinese Communists established the first paratroop training school at amussu
in 1949 with CHU Te as honorary commandant. In the,fa ,of 1950 the first para-
troop class of the Chiamussu paratroop school'wae graduated and organized into
three divisions and one independent North Korean regiment..- By November 1951 the
school had graduated 20,000 men, all chosen from the 4 Field Army. The para-
troopers were being trained by Soviet instructors, and 14,000 paratroopers were
in training in November 1951.
