THIS IS UNEVALUATED INFORMATION
The following trains,, filled with Russian personnel and equipment, and pre-.
sumed.to come from the USSR.. were seen at the following railway stations
at the time and date indicated:
1. Komoro ( 89), on 17 January 1952:
a: The first train was observed at 6 p.m., consisting of 12 closed and
35 flat cars. The latter carried heavy artillery pieces, in addition
to other military cargo.
Around 10 p.m. another train,, consisting of 42 closed cars and carrying
only Russian troops, was seen at the same station.
2. Erd0benyef1rd8: A train of X51 cars, consisting of 49 flat and. 2 closed cars,
was observed, at midnight on 17 January 1952. The cargo consisted: of heavy
artillery and mortars; it was guarded by five soldiers to each flat car.
3. Iomoro (K 89) : A train of 47 cars, filled with troops and unidentified
cargo., was observed at 3 a.i. 18 January 1952, near the railway station.
4. Erdt benyef1trd8, on 18 January 1952.,
a. At.4 a.m. a train, consisting of 15 closed troop-carrying cars. and $0
flat cars loaded with medium tanks, tractors, and self-propelled, artillery
pieces, was seen near the railway station. 17 tanks. -

At 8 a.m. another train was observed,. This consisted of 32 flat cars
with artillery pieces mounted on. them and 16 closed cars with troops
The third. train was observed at 8:30 a.m. Of the 40 cars 12 were flat,,
with assault guns mounted on them. 28 cars carried: troops.

Erdt5benyefird8; At 2 a.m. on 19 January 1952 a train 45 cars long was seen
near the station. It consisted of 39 flat cars, for the most part loaded
with medium tanks, and 6 cars carrying troops.
