1. The. Unsan. Airfield north of Sinanju (125-36, 39-36) has been constructed for the

established near this airfield; three of them are on the top of 'the mountain
directly north of the field and the other two are on lower parts of the moun-

Two stone buildings have been constructed on the north side of the runway; they
are used as quarters for Communist air-defense personnel stationed at the field.
The highway to Unaan is about 3 kilometers west of the. airfield, and a._nUlitary

primary purpose of inviting attacks by UN planes so that they may become targets
for the anti-aircraft guns there; eonsegi.ently, this airfield. is poorly constructed.
This airfield is north of $inanJu, about 10 kilometers north of TYnsany. on a
plain just south of a high mountain. The field is about 500 meters wide acid
2,000 meters long. The runway extends from east to west and is 1,500 meters
long and 50 meters wide; it is aurfaced with sand, stones and a little cement.
