Five trains with T 31+ tanks and three trains with equipment and construction material were unloaded at Rostock on 8-9 May and 12 May respectively. The guns and material moved to the Puetlitz Kaserne on Memelerstrasse. An estimated 15,000 men are stationed in Rostock and 4,000 men are quartered in the barracks installations at Markgrafenheide airfield near Warnemuende.* CENTRAL t_N TE~ L I CENCE AGENCY CLASSIFICATION w` L's{-UU. Houses in Bergen and Sassnitz have been vacated by civilians in order to provide quarters for 3,000 soldiers each. The road from Karow to Prora via Binz was blocked by truck convoys on 9 May. The troops arriving in trucks were billeted in Bergen and Sassnitz and in a tent camp in Prora. II Comment: This partly confirms another observation of the detraining of units of the artillery brigade of the 79th Rifle Corps from Altengrabow. The tank shipments are unexplained.
