Prior to November 1951, the tank production plant, in e(,egnica (1,,iegnit? repaired
tanks and. also made epawre parts. At the beginning of November 1951,
product ion of tanks started at full speed Many of the parts are produced.
at the plant and some are imported from the USSR. Besidw, production of
T-31 tanks, light tanks (taukietki) are produced. Armor plate and
other 'castings are deliveree.a from the iron and. steel works at Krolewska
Ruta, near Katowice.
The gas meter factory in Torun is also. producing periscopes and sights
for anti-aircraft guns. A separate department for the production of 50X1-HUM
hand. grenade fuses i > ecbedu.lei to be opened in the very near future.
A factory producing tanks o-' an unspecified type is located in Budzyn .near
Krasnik (50 55? 22 11,F). ' tm i s factory Is under complete Soviet control.
