1. The Russians have completed the construction:,of a wooden turret on the
eastern breakwater, about 50 meters south of the Swinoujscie (Swin aende)
harbor entrance light. Polish WOP sentries, under Soviet control, have
now been stationed at this point in order to observe the ships entering the
port. The approach of a vessel to the harbor entrance is reported by
telephone to a Soviet'control office located nearby, whereupon two Soviet
control officers come to the tower to observe the ship.
2, The Port Directorate (iapitanat Portu) - office in Szczecin (Stettin) controls
the Swinoujscie port, and only a branch office of the ;K"apitanat Porto known
as the Port Administration of Swinoujscie (Zarzad. Porto w Swinaujsciu~ is
located in Swinoujscie. Employed at the Zarzad. Portu are the following
individua:lst Jan Wisniewski., director or senior port officer, arrived from
Szczecin during the summer of 1951,? Antoni Mecbalczuk;, first port officer;
Stanislaw Gawron, junior port officer; Josef ,Jaworski, junior port officer;
Edward Kalicinski, junior port officer; and the following boatswains
Mieczyslaw Pecold., Eugeniusz Lepko, Jozef Braun, Eieronim Rusine1i, Stefan
Stefa iak, Slawomir Dabroveki, Stanislaw Bzisko, Aleksander Shrobak, and
oleslaw Perak.
The following pilot motor boats, with crews totalling 25 met, are controlled
by the Zarzad Portua Pilot 10, 51, 52, 53, and 63.
