The ,Ittachment lists 75 chemical items in the DDR econom7 during
the period 1 January through 31 :arch 1952. The following data
is listed on each item; Planned production for the full year 1252;
actual production during the first quarter of 1952, broken &run
aecording to SAO or VED economic sectors; planted imports for the
year 1952 and actual imports for the first quarter of 1952; allocation
for thc first quarter of 1952, according to DDR internal use or export.*
-50X1 -HUM
;omment: Several items included in attachment, such as natural
rubber ane raw asbestos) are not produced in the DDR. In these cases,
planned and actual imports are listed. In the actual production column,
the prcduction of factories other than SAC and VD is not listed separ-
atel7 but is included in the total fi-ure. Amounts allocated sometimes
exceed the total of production and imports. This is due to the fact
that small amounts, listed as "in stock", were carried over from he
previo-s 7car.)
