On 19 April 1952, the North Korean Army VI Corps consisted of the 9, 18, and 19
Divisions * Approximate. 1y half of the, table of organization strength of the
North Korean 36 Division was attached to the VT_ Corps.1 Elements of the 18
Division were under the command of the 9 Divisional
During the period December 1951 - February 1952, six Worth Korean divisions
received training inManchuria3 under the Northeast Military District Command.
Approximately half of the .,troops, in. these divisions were Koreans conscripted
in. North Korea and shipped to Manchuria.. The other half was made up of Koreans
who lived in .Manchuria The ranks from squad leader up to company commander
were filled by. Korean officers and non-commissioned officers trained in .China..
Approximately 300 officers in these divisions were furnished by the North.
Korean army from, the IV Corps The six divisions entered Korea through the
inii Ju area in February 1952.
