11a Research work on nitrided steel, specially alloyed with 0,2 v 0.4%
carbon plus vanadium, chromium aluminum, titanium and. molybdenum,
has been, stopped at Silbitz because-of the successful conclusions
reached by Brandau and Maler (metallurgists) under the 4irection
of Engineer Tschorn at the in trument +rks, Magdeburg, These
conclusions have made further experiments unnecessary.
12, The State Planning Commission has now ordered Silbitz to undertake
research on special steels alloyed with between 8 and 9% tungsten,
The tungsten steel is Intended to be used in the manufacture of
diets which, will. take molten steel under pressure.
