Some of the Soviet military units located in Rumania are as follows:
a, The Divisional Headquarters of this tank
unit were located un 1918 in Braila in the building called
Palatul Agriculturei. While it is not known where the Headquarters
are at present, sub-units are now scattered throughout Braila,
Focsani and Ramnicul Sarat.
b. This unit, which is probably a mechanized
unit, has its headquarters in the warehouses of the Engineer's
Depot (Cazarma Pontonierilor) located on the Braila - Lacul Sarat
highway. The unit was in Braila since 1950 and was still there as
of June 1952. One First Lieutenant Kolanov, a 26 year old Ukrainian,
was a member of this unit.

The unit, which was in Braila
as of June 1952, was charged keeping the general warehouses for
the supply of the Soviet Army with uniforms, blankets, sheets, foot-
wear and harness.

This unit located in the village of Nedelcu
Chercea and west of Braila at a location opposite the rice milling
plant (Fabrica Rizeria Romana) operates an auto repair shop in
Braila. Lieutenant Dino Fetranco a Soviet officer from Leningrad,
was a member of this unit as was also Major Cuaunin from the
Ukraine.

This unit is located in Focsani. The unit
sold scrap iron to the Semperit rubber company which also engaged
in purchasing various used materials from the Soviet forces.
This unit is located in Galati. The unit
had a park of used vehicles and tires for sale on Strada Traian and
at the local docks.

2e Soviet auto repair shop near Ploesti: A large repair shop operated by
the Soviet Army is located in a forest called Crangul lui Bot, located
seven kilometers west of the center of Ploesti. The shop repairs and
maintains Soviet Army tanks, trucks and vehicles. No further details.
