There are at present five divisions in the Albanian ,Army ol Owing to the fact
that' military unite are constantly being moored from one area to another., it is
almost impossible to pinpoint the location of specific units,
the Albanian Army has triangular-type 50X1 -HUM
divisions-. Their table of organization and equipment is as follows:

e, Each battalion has an organic automatic rifle squad.
f, One signal squad is organic to each battalion.

3. Army morale Is low, The men are constantly under the watchful eyes of their,
officers and of informers who are placed in each unit.

unit of the Special Pursuit Brigade go through their
physical training exercises for one hour. After the exercises, the men
were placed under. guard within their compound. Members of this Brigade
are never allowed to contact anyone outside of their unit. Family or friends
who wish to see them are allowed 5 to 10 minutes for each visit within
hearing distance of an officer.
Anti-aircraft fire was reported as seen in the Vlone area on the night of
I May 1952, As far as can be ascertained, the plane was not. hit nor its
identity established
the following anti-aircraft emplacements:
a. Saseno
b, Karaburun
c a Kodras
d, Kocili (sic . Kocel ja ?)
e.. Kamina (sic)
f, Kurtsa Babo (sic)
AA guns here are of light medium caliber,
g. V1one
There is a heavy M gun emplacement on the roof of the Executive
Committee Building which was formerly occupied by the Italian
Consulate,
6, In the Diber area there is one unidentified division equipped with German and
Soviet arms, The entire border area from Librazhd to Kukes is guarded.

there are only three divisions in the Albanian Army;
Comment, The light machine gin referred to is probably the
Soviet Degtyarov 7,62 1,938 light machine gun, well-known for its
sirplicity and reliability,
