1. The Czech officers' uniform is khaki wool. It consists of a cap, blouse,
trousers (or breeches) and brown shoes or black top boots. The cap has a
stip (sic) visor of brown vulcan-fibre (sic), a double, woven, gold cord
runs above the visor and a gold metal State emblem engraved with the Czech
heraldic lion is mounted on the cap band; colored piping, depending upon the
arm or service, is sewn around the crown of the cap. The blouse is single-
breasted with an open collar; it has four pockets. There are vents at the
backo The four gold buttons are engraved with two crossed swords. The blouse
is worn without a belt. The epaulets-are stiff, embroidered-with gold or
silver yarn, with piping, and with one or two lengthwise stripes, the color
depending upon the arm or service; two patches of the same color are fixed on
the lapels. A gold or silver war club is mounted on each lapel patch. Along
the outside seam of the trousers (or breeches) is piping of the same color as
the piping on the epaulets. A khaki shirt and a tie are worn with the dress
uniform. Brown leather gloves are worn at parades and ceremonies. A double-
breasted, open collar overcoat with the same kind of epaulets and lapel
.patches is worn in winter. General officers have dress unifvi ns of the same
cut but of lighter material. Their cap visor is. embroidered with a cluster of
gold linden leaves instead of a war club.. On the outside of the trouser
legs, there is a colored stripe, about one inch wide with a seam in the middle?

2. The special ceremonial uniforms, light ev=er uniforms and white
blouses mentioned in the Army Uniform Manual were cancelled before
being introduced. The wearing of white shirts with black ties was
abolished also. General officers and colonels, however, are permitte
to wear light summer uniforms.
`Officers' field uniforms are tick, woolen khaki. The field cap has
epaulets, which are similar to dress uniform epaulets. Instead of
gold or silver embroidery, corded yellow or white material is used.

pockets are inverted (as opposed to the patch pockets on a dress
blouse). The epaulets are khaki material with piping and dividing
stripes. There are no lapel patches. The buttons area dull shade.
A leather belt with a shoulder strap, breeches without piping and
black top boots are worn with the field uniform.
The fatigue uniform is the same as the field uniform except for the
a small metal State emblem. The out of the blouse is similar to the.
EM and NCO Uniforms
5. There Is no difference in the out of the dress, field and fatigue
uniforms. The uniform consists of a field cap, blouse and thick,
khaki wool trousers. The blouse is the same as the officers' field
blouse. A leather belt is worn with the uniform. In addition to
the usual side pockets, the trousers have a pocket on.the left leg
above the knee. Semi-high black leather boots are worn with the
field uniform, the trousers being tucked into the boots. Black
laced shoes are worn when on leave. Shirts and ties of dirk khaki
are worn on all occasions. A special linen fatigue uniform of
brown leather. A rainproof overcoat is issued to all officers and
the career NCOe; it is khaki and can be worn with the field or
,fatigue uniform.

When on leave, career NCOs and cadet officers are allowed to wear
the same dress uniform ,as officers. The lapel patches,, however,
have no clubs and the narrow belt over the visor of the cap is of:

7. Women serving in the army wear uniforms of the same material as the meeen'a.
The dress uniform consists of a beret, blouse, skirt. and `brown .laced.
shoes. The blouse is of the same out as the men's. The khaki skirt
has two inverted pleats in the front. Khaki shirts, ties, socks
and light beige stockings are worn with the dress uniform. The field
and fatigue uniforms consist of a field cap, blouse, trousers,
gaiters and black laced shoes.

Shoulder Boards
$. The following is a list of the various shoulder boards worn by
EM and NCOs:
(a) Red, with black piping: infantry, airborne troops and army
musical band.
(b) Black, with red piping: artillery, tank corps, AA artillery and
ordnance.
(c) Pale blue, with black piping: air force and air force musical
bands.

The stripes are one centimeter wide and approximately five
centim6tersc long, ' One stripe indicates the first school year,
two indicate the second, and three the third. The stripes on
shoulder boards and sleeves 'are gold if .the cadet belongs to
a combat a and white if he belongs to service'.
IT. Junior . cuffioera ? shoulder boards are divided by lengthwise
narrow stripes into three gold or silver.fielde. The rank is

indicated by silver five-cornered stare if the field is gold-{and
by gold stars if the field is'silver.'The respective combat arm
or service is indicated by a symbol worn next to shoulder board
two fields. Their stars are bigger than those of Junior officers.,
General officers' shoulder boards are not divided and their stare`
are still bigger than those of field grade officers.

18. There are no service stripes indicating the length of service.
The .various . stripes ~ worn on the, left sleeve always indicate a
student of some military school,

19. Enlisted men and NCOs are issued the following equipment: Can.

belt with shoulder strap, leather map case, leather ease for drawing'.

packet,: CW-protective cape and field glasses.
21. New special winter clothing is being introduced for both officers
and men. This clothing consists of knees-length felt boots, padded
quilted two-piece suit, rabbit-skin winter cap, fur gloves and ,'a
thin white camouflage hooded coverall.
