Since October 1950 the offices of the East China Navy in Fukien have been located at Liang Huang Hui uan (0357/1684/2585/7419), Shih Ching (4258/oo64) :Lame, Foochow. 2. On 8 MM.;ay the Chinese Communist vessels CHUNG Li (0022/0448), CHIEN CH'ENG (1696/2052), T G LI (3057/0448), with two unidentified vessels, arrived in Haimen from. Shanghai. On the morning of 9 May military supplies were unloaded from these vessels. By 17 May they had all returned to Shanghai except the C'ECNG LT. two 13 man and two 25 mm guns at Mawei Shipyard. On 14 May the Chinese Communist gunboat CHING -HAI (7231/3189) was anchored at iiohsingt as (119-28, 25-59) after having been repaired and refitted with Ia early May, ten gunboats ranging from 50 to 70 tons were stationed' at Shihp,u (121-56, 29-15). In early May, Nankuanch t iao (058W7070/2890). east of EShihp kt waa designated as a naval zone and a restricted area. On 2 May gunboats were anchored at the Nankuanchpiao wharf. Three of these gunboats were remodeled UNRRA fishing boats. each armed with two 25 mm guns and two 13 mm machine guns... The remaining three gunboats were each armed with ft~-:40`vz. one 25 mm gun and one .50 caliber machine gun. 6.
