THIS IS UNEVALUATED INFORMATION
At the end of Octtber 1951, officers and non-commissioned officers of the
1912-1,920 classes were recalled for four (sic )'days training. The recall
affected 3 ,,000 men, including 700-800 officers) of the infantry, engineers,
and demolition engineers. Only part of the classes were recalled, and there
was no apparent selection pattern.

The first two weeks of the training period were concerned with theory and

The initial phase of the training took place in the barracks of 41-Demo...
ll,tidns Engineers Regiment, Sofia. Instructors were Bulgarian and Soviet
officers and Bulgarian non-commissioned officers, Subsequently, practical
fiel4 exercises were conducted using fortifications which were being con-
structed by 'Voluntary Work Brigades" along the Bulgarian-Yugoslav border,
