1.. In December 1951 the Central, Armored Army Groupl (CRAG) was formed. It is under
the direct control of the Chinese Communist Army Headquarters. It has full
Soviet mechanized equipment. CRAG headquarters has been established at Nanyuan
(0589/5373)9 Peipingd Officers of the CRAG headquarters include the following:

reported, it is believed that this refers to the Armored Force command (see
25X1A for previous data on this force), which
was established in August 1950 under } U Kuang-ta.

since a Vta'is head of the Armored Force Command, With the exception
of HSU9 no personalities can be identified.
25X1A 3. Comment. The 719 2 and Armies are not known to exist,
