I THIS DOCUMENT CONTAINS INFORMATION AFFECTING THE NATIONAL DEFENSE OF THE UNITED STATES, WITHIN THE MEANING OF TITLE 18, SECTIONS 793 PROHIBITED BY LAW, THE REPRODUCTION OF. T H I S FORM F PROHIBITED. THIS IS UNEVALUATED INFORMATION 1. About 1,000 persons belonging to the Yugoslav armed forces study at the University of Zagreb in its different faculties. All of these students, as well as military personnel studying at other Yugoslav utivereities, are members of the Communist Party. 2. To be admitted to the course a candidate must file an application, have the recommendation of his high school, ana promise he will serve the state for 10 yew after completion of his studies. Pay is i,~00 dinars per-month. 3. Uniforms worn are similar to those of Yugoslav army officers, without indication of rank. Lapels are coffee-colored for medicine, black for pharmacy, and azure for Navy engineers, Shoulder markings include various insignia, some examples of which are; a. the stick of Aesoulapius for medical students; bo two wings for students of pharmacy; and a toothed wheal for Navy engineers Besides their regular university curriculum, military students have a daily hour of special political and military instruction, There are about 20 military students in each year's class of the Faculty of Medicine.
