As the procurement of the rod iron is difficulty the 25X1 0coperation of all the regional railroad headquarters in the procurement of this material. Rod iron 12.5 and 6mm. thick, which can be embedded In concrete, is required. Slight deviations are possible.. The procured Material will be dispatched to the ballast works at Rothwich and will be paid for by the Schwerin regional railroad headquarters. 1. Comment. The tabulation shows that deliveries of materials to the Soviet Zone Railroad are very slow and remain behind schedule. This applies particularly to Mannew.nn tubes which are urgently required for repair work on loc?otives. 2? L__._10=at. According to previous information, the output of the railroad-owned tie processing plants during one shift was as follows: Zernsdorf 6413 ties, Wuelknitz 1300 ties Eagelsdorf 700 ties, and Neudietendorf 300 ties- 3. ~ -Jalmente Cannot be further identified to available reference material. 4. I pomment. The use of single concrete ground plates, Which are laid 10 t' dinal,ly? reduces the' number of ties required by about one-third,, i.e..' for 1 lam. of track more than 500 ties would be saved. Previously, concrete ground plates, which are about 100 centimeters long, were installed oaely on auxiliary tracks at railroad stations or on secondary lines. The information indicates that they are to be used on main lines also. SEQEET/COSTP.oL tis OPPICIALS ONLY 25X1 Approved For Release 2006/08/08 : CIA-RDP82-00457RO13400300003-1
