2. While the records are being played9 the peasants are watched. Those
who do not seem to listen attentively are immediately called in for
examination. After examination, they are likely to be sent to work
on the Danube-Black Sea Canal.
3. Since the Militia is mainly concentrated in industrial centers, it is
rather weak in the agricultural areas of Rumania. It therefore finds
some trouble in suppressing collisions between the peasants and the
authorities.
