Experimental Command Factory
1. The Experimental Command Factory (Eksperimentalno-Komandnyy Zavod.).is lo-
cated near Moscow on the Moscow-Kazan railroad.1 The plant is 1octed about
3,000-meters from the Perovo railroad.station, in the dire ction.of:Moscow.
.This area was formerly, used for sumn}er homes for inhabitants .of Moscow.
The factory is directly subordinate to the War Ministry and engages both
in production of military equipment .nd.in experiments on such equipment.,
The plant; produces directional equipment for all types of artillery
piece:;. rh1ch are used by , the, 4tarious' branches of the armed forces. It also
produces all types of projectile, radio, and air photography equipment, and
engages in tests to improve current and new models of such equipment. There
.are at least ten specialized sub-sections in the factory, including sections
for sound detection, radio,and.photography.. Each sub-section is.under the
directionof a.manager and-Prom four:to.six_specialists. There is a
.specialized research institute. which coordinates investigations carried out
at the plant, and. this special institute Allegedly comprises some 100
research rooms. Active officers from various. branches of the Saviet.Army,
Nagy,andAir Force are detailed-to the plant for specialized training
,which lasts from three months to a,year. It is thought that from 100 to.200
officers can be detailed to the factory at any, one time.
2. There are approximately 3,000 persons employed at this factory, which.is
under an especially strict guard system known as the OG. All factories
under OG guard are not only fenced in; but.individual buildings in the
factory complex are guarded . and. separated. from each_other. It is thought
that there is a system of passwords and identity documents to permit passage
from building to building within the factory area.

Factory for Spcial.Construction
The Factory for Special Construction (Zavod Spetsialnykh Konstruktsiy )
is located at Mironovskaya Ulitsa.21, Moscow. It is limited.in importance,
and does not employ more than 1,500 persons. The factory chiefly engages
in construction of two-lane military bridges which can be used to.repl.ace
bridges which have been destroyed.. The plant also produces radio antennae
for the army. it is not guarded by any,special units.
Comment: This factory may be the plant identified in previous
reports as the Precision Instrument Factory, Moscow, Ferovo.
