1, Mimosa, Dresden: Large quantities of infrared-seasitive films are manufactured
here. In April 1952, 36,000 Itiselreitivie,:ratnkerit7aplisiall riimerneere, delivered
to the Soviet Control Commisslon Mimosa also supplies experimental material
to the Zeiss-Tena works, Cniefly infrared material and film for tele-eameras.
Leiva-style film is delivered to Czechoslovakia; 15200Q to 20,000 rolls have
been delivered since January. Attempts to manafacture mivrofilm Which have
been going oi for a year and a half, have just produced results. The micro-
film is delivered only to the Soviet Control-Commission and to a Voikspolizei
vamp at Dad Sehandua. The production of color has been suspended at
Mimosa, and now is curried On only at the WOltanoAdta plant.
2. WOlfe*-Agfa? Eitterfelt: Nowadays it produces high-Sensitivity-film of the
following sorts: 27-10 Din, Deutsche Industrie-Norm; 3P-10 Dia, fine-grained
fi.iya with supersonic irradiation; one-emulsion color film, and two high.
sensitivity 35 =films. The color work Is better than it was.
3. Scbubfabrik Mctcr, Weissenfels: This works pmduces monthly 15,000 pairs of
high laced toots, Amertean for the lolkspolizel. They are issued oily
to Voliapolisei Alert Traops.

/FAWerk, Leipzig, Markranstkdterstrasse: It produces lank cars with plates
1.75 ma think and a capacity of 5?OOO liters, with three vertiele baffle
plates in the taaks? and rolled plats 3 mai thick, 1.5 x 3 meters in size.
The ends are grooved so that they can be fitted one into another.

H 0 . A combustion generator with a power of four million volts has been built

coil units have been built for the RFT-Werke at Erfurt.

6. HEM, Halberstadt, formerly Junkers-Werke: A new_EKM pleat has been erected on
the old JUnkers Works property, and at the present time it is 'being furter
enlarged. The plant produces Diesel engines of all sizes, which are delivered
to shipyards, automobile factories and to the Soviet Union. This plant has
a chief part in the research work in this field in East Germany.
7. Unruh & Liebig, Leipzig: During May 1952 this firm produced.: 12 ball
buckets; One caterpillar tractor with attached screw conveyor; heavy gear
parts; car parts; complete cars with a capacity up to 120 tons; six drop-
frame cars.
8. MaschinenfabriklZewa, lienstlidtan der Oria: This plant his manufactured
24,000 square meters of nickeltissue since December 1951. The material used
Is pure nickel Wire of 0.04 to 0-.05 mm thickness. The -Mime is of 7,300 to
7,400 mesh per square centimeter, The nickel wire comes mainly from western
Europe. The tissue is used in airplane power units and in the refining of
uranium, and is delivered to the Soviet Union.
9. Amo, SAG Kenatruktionshurag, Leipzig Cl, Glistav-Adolfstrasse: Plans are
drawn here for skidways, conveying systems and cranes, designed for the
Soviet Union and in part for Italy also. Production of these items will
be set in motion in the next third of the year 1952 by the Krupp-Gruson
works at Magdeburg. TO carry out these projects, techniciaas already have
been concentrate& at different points: in Leipzig, 80; in Dresden, 205; in
Dessau, 60.
10. E-Werk, Dessau: Electric motors of all kinds are manufactured here. For
about a month past, this works has been producing searchlights with diameters
from o.6 to 1.15 meters; also lighting equipment for airfields, said eyepiece
equipment.
11. Zeiss-Jena. (ITY8Optik): Thii firm-manufaCtures field glassei, 6 x 30 and
15 x 50, in large-quantitiea;-portable moving picture apparatus; telephoto
lenses; lens belis-for dicroseOpes,rfor the SOviet Union. In the month of
April five thousand. 13 cm 'telephoto lenses were deliiered to a Works at Kiev,
in the Soviet Union. optical sighting equipmeat of the former series A is
fabricated in the main works; the quantity -ranges 'between 30 and 100 pieces
monthly. The manufacture :Of infrared sensitive equipment is a point -of main
impOrtince. This equipment is not yet being produced in quantity; single
apparatuses were delivered.' toSoviet establishments for testing on26 May 1952.
Skilled vorkers'from the Soviet Union are edplOyed in the development of this
equipment. Curve'potettiOmeters_are'tlso produced 'with the data: impulse,
248; diameter, 400 smq resistance, 100 to 120 ohms.; type, 08814-10-18-49-52.

12. RFTPadeburg: Production quantities for the month of April 195: forty-two
100-watt transmittiag sets with accessories, which 'were delivered to shipyards;
twenty-five 800-watt traasmittiag sets, also delivered to shipyards; about 800
to 900.fie1l telephone sets, delivered. to the Voikapolizel. There is a stook
of earrier-frequency apparatus is the Yorks, which is currently beiag added to
types, ME 8 aad new TF 10. .ix additiox, 60 to 65 microwave apparatus (types
903-905) are manufactured moithIy. These sets are installed ix part os motor
*trucks-(mostly three-toaxers). These trucks are delivered to the Vbikspolizei
end the Soviet Union as command cars. They are partly built by IFA; at the
present time there are also some of Soviet type. The cast iroa cases for the
apparttas are supplied by the firm of EberbEcher,. ia Radeburg. The apparatus
has a tramamistion maximum of 8 to 10 witts.
13. Polyaius? Dessau: This works builds coacretw mixing mcMiery for the Soviet
Unica; which 'peg to .Kulbyshelr.
14. SAG Metzeli Leipiig-Plagwitzi The monthly production average of gears for
caterpillar tractoTa is aboat 70 to 80 heavy gears end 30 to 50 pieseX of
contiamous driVes of special steel which are delivered to the Soviet

15. Meyer &WeicheIt Letrzig1W34: For about two: maths past? this works has
