1. in early May 1952 over 2,000 persons were attending the Fukien Military District
infantry school near TsTang Chien Shan (0221/0467/1472) at Nant7ai (.118-06,
27-38).

2. The South Fukien District Command at Lungch9 i (117_;., 24.43) selected about
ten senior military and political cadre members to go to the advanced recon-
struction'school in Nanking. They were scheduled to leave for Foochow on,33
June.
3. In late April a large number of seamen and unemployed laborers were assembled
by the Linhai (121-07, 28-53) commissionertis office to receive navagational
training by the Seamen?s Union in Linhaio
4. On 9 May the Shanaha.i workers 3 political schnnI, was formally opened. This
school is sponsored by LIU Chang-sheng (049l/7022/0524),l head of the
propaganda department of the East China Military Area, and is headed by SHU Teung
(5289/0681).2 Each of 1,9000 workmen will 'be selected from factories in the
Shanghai area.

the general labor union in Shanghai in 19500
2. ent. SHU Tung is deputy director of the political department
of the East China Military Area Command in Shanghai. Oreported 25X1
that SHIT was deputy director of the training department of the "Far East 25X1
Cominform" as of August 1951.
