The Ministry of Railways plans to complete and place the Ttienshui--Lanchou section of the Lunghai Railway in operation by October 1952.1 20 The Ministry has built a bridge factory at Tutlangch+iaochen (2629/2768/2890/6966),, east of Vienshui9 to speed up construction and to insure that this goal is met. Bridge sections were previously shipped to the erection site,, but ship- ments were often delayed and the sections sometimes did not meet bridge speci- fications. The bridge factory which was built on the suggestion of Hsi-l.n (6007/ 2651), a Soviet bridge specialist, is under the direct control of the Northwest Railway Engineering Administration. It presently employs 1,300 workers and daily produces 20 reinforced concrete frames,2 1o Comment.
