The sm. Meachinenfabrik Zeitz (Zemag) mamafactures shafts of all sizes,
and delivers thea principally to plants around Leipzig. Parts for cranes
are also manufactured. The steel divi ion is engaged mainly in repairing
heavy ears. Not enough material is available for new construction. Since
the middle of June? east plates have'also been fabricated, which almost
certainly are intended for building tanks. They are 50 mm thick. Pro-
duction in %lime was 150 pieces.
From the Benzinmark B5hien about 600 tons of airplane gasoline are shipped
daily in tank cars to Brest-Litovsk, Soviet Union. Diesel fuel is manu-

nitropenta (sic) base is planned. Monthly production is rising all the time.
At the present time it is between 2,000 and 4,000 tons.
VES 011mannawerk, Leipzig, makes breechblocks for guns in large quanti-
ties. Blocks are made for guns ca! 20, 55, 88, and 120 mm. The 20 nut breeth-
blocks are of two models; one for belt-fed ammunition and one for magazines.
Parts for antiaircraft arms of all calibemsare .as produced according to
blueprints which originate in the Maschinethan Onigsee SAG.
The SAG Louis Schopper, Leipzig, produces machines for the manufacture of
ammumition. Seven cartridge-drawing machines were delivered to Zeithain
in. June alone. Machinea haee been delivered to the Mockrehna works at
TOrgau steadily since 1953a 12 machines for manufacturing land mines were
delivered there in May 1952. In JUne? three special cartridge-drairing
machines for 55 mmaaliber were delivered, complete 'with be plates. Work-
men vho assedhle the machines say that altogether about 850 machines have
been delivered to Mockrehna. It June' 1952, 30 groundplates and 20 stands
for machines ware delivered to Krupp-Gruson, Magdeburg. The groundplates
were Shipped in the form of castings.
