The Budapest - Cop telephone cable:
a.. The construction of this.extremely important undergrou4..cable, which is
administered by the -Hungarian ?P.T.T. lid-miniitration--waws- npleted and began
functioning early in aye .1952. It is reserved for official-and military
purposes obly and is also. the trunk line for calls between Budapest and
,Iosaow. The route of the, bable is Budapest - Cegl4d Szolnok - Debrecen
Nyiregyhaza- - Corr.
b. -Rhf9eAteT--stations. an this - table are situated in underground bunkers, and
those sections.of the line crossing. rivers, canals etc., are laid in concrete
troughs.
2. The Debrecen- - Miskolc cable
Work on the new underground cable between Debrecen and--Miskolc is-progressing
.rather well. It is being carried out by picked.workers and military personnel.
The Szolnok - Szeged cabled
.`Frans for -a new- underground cable linking these two cities have now been
completed and-approved. It is reported that work is to begin in the very
near future and' certainly before the end. of 1952.
4. The NyiregyhLza telephone' exchange:
During-May 1952 the NLi.re yhKza automatic telephone exchange was extended,
and 150 new units have been added, which are reserved exclusively for military
