THIS IS UNEVALUATED INFORMATION
the following ships were assigjed to the 11th WOP (Milit
Border Guard) Brigade at Gdansk (Danzig):
The speed boats.HELand DZIERZYNSKI
Each boat is equipped with two guns,
and one heavy and.one light,machine gun, and each vessel takes a crew of

They are armed
Ten former German landing craft, including the SOW, POWIS,LE, PRAGA,
OCHOTA,,STAROWKA,.and WOLA;: These landing craft are ab-out fourteen meters
long and .have a speed of about' ten milts an hour. They take' a five_ to
crew, and are equipped with a light machine gun on the foredeck. They
are able to transport about forty men and equipment. Decks tift-b been
construdted on.the boats by.the Poles. These vessels are used by the WOP
in.patrdl-ling,the coast, and 1n miscellaneous duties in port. They are
not seaworthy during heavy winds Or storms at sea.since they are.flat-
bottomed

These vessels are s mp e fishing cutters which have been equipped with-one
heavy and one light.machine gun.

2. The fleet of the 11th WOP.Brigade is scattered throughout the, mall harbors
in the Gdansk area,.beginning with the harbor at Katy Rybackie on the Polish-
Soviet frontier, and including Nowy Port (Gdansk), Sopot (Zoppot), Gdynia,
Hell Wladyslawowo, andLeba. Patrol of these harbors is the responsibility of

Wo jskowa Ochrena :Pogranicza .. WOF ships fly the smmie flag that is"'used
by the Polish Navy, but the flag . &gruen edge, since green is the color
which designates WOP units.
