A ruthless campaign against anti-Communists in China and against corruption. within the Communist Party is under way. d. Military eiuipment is being stockpiled for transfer to Communist forces fighting in North Korea, Burma, and Indochina. e.. A long discussion was held on Soviet methods for disrupting the progress of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization in Europe, and it was agreed that Germany in the west and Japan in the east are the principal targets for Communist subversive activity. 1. On approximately 12 August,, PAK Chong-ae, head of the North Korean Democratic Women's Alliance and delegate to the preparatory meeting for the Asia and Pacific Peace Conference, returned to P'y6ngyang from Peiping and made the following observations on the discussions at the preparatory meeting-. a. Communist China is preparing for ware- against the United States, and has assumed leadership in mobilizing Asian manpower and resources for the coming war. b. Approximately 80 percent of Communist China's industrial machine is producing wtr products.
