THIS IS UNEVALUATED INFORMATION
1. Between the months of February and-May 1952, the Polish Armored Units' Center
in the zone between Warsaw and Deblin was supplied with -180 new :3oviet
tanks. Most of these tank,:, considered by'-the Russians as being of medium
tonnage, were: ' -34, with 76 mm. armor; T-44, with 86 mm.ar#nor; and T-54,
with 100 mm. armor.
The center hasalso been assigned some heavy JS-3 tanks with 122 mm. armor and
rapid traverse. This type has: not yet been observed at war games .or in
military mineuver. s .
3. At this same center, three types of foreign tanks, captured in North Korea,
have been studied and tested. Two are English, a Cromwell and a 50 ton
Centurion, and one is American, very similar to the Sherman.
