THIS IS UNEVALUATED INFORMATION
25X1 1. A number of improvements have just been completed at Balta-Verde Air-
field, near Craiova, on the road toward Caracal. A new road has been
built between the airfield and the city of Craiova. New barracks and
hangars have been constructed on an ambitious scale. They are report-
ed as occupying a total area of 20,000 square meters.
2. The work was begun in the spring of 1952. Laborers were, as usual,
under control of the Militia,
