THIS IS UNEVALUATED INFORMATION
1. The King Theater in Rangoon, which is currently exhibiting Russian. and
Chinese Communist films, is owned by the Sooratee Bara Bazaar Company of
Rangoon. Two years ago, this Company leased the King Theater to Banasari
Lall for a. period of'twenty years. The terms of the agreement involved
the down payment of one lakh of keyatd,,s,- d; koyats ' 3,000 `per month
2. Lall sublet for an unspecified time to U BA .T`.BATJNG., an ex-convict formerly
serving a life sentence for murder. BA TRAUN and the.Soviet Embassy in
Rangoon pay Lall a combined total of kyats 2,750 per week, the major portion
of which is borne by the Soviet Embassy.2

had rented the King Theater for rupees 12,UUU (a-t the time, a rupee was worn
about $0.25) as of 1 June 1952 and had agreed to share 50 percent of the
advertising charges bought under the name of the Eastern Film Company.
