1. About 25 LI-2's were observed on the field.
Battle EXercises
2. Battle exercises took place in the evenings of 10 and 20 September. On both
occasions every available officer and man turned out in full battle order. About
150 men parachuted down in a sitaated attack on the airfield while the remainder
manned the trenches.and fire positions. The exercise on the 10th began at
19.00 hours and that on the 20th began at 21.00 hours. No light M.G.'s are
know to haveTheen dropped independently. German fitters and electricians had
to standby in case of need.
Arrival and Departures.
3. On 30 Septerber? 400 fully trained men left for an unknown destination. Half went
by air and the remainder by truck. All movement was during hours of darkness.
4, During the night of 1 - 2 October 400 men arrived by air. They are stated to have
been wearing black shoulder-boards with red piping, whereas those Who left were
wearing blue shoulder-boards with crossed propellors at the shoulder-boards.
Weixsdorf Barracks
5. Volkspolizei are still stationed here. Twenty go to the airfield every day for
flying instruction.
