Building construction at the Rostock-Branow Fish Combine has been
completely suspended. The contracting firm', Bau.-Union Rostock, is engaged.
in airfield construction on Riugen. None of the buildings erected here
during the summer can be heated this winter, because there is no material
for pipes.
''. The prod(ction of 100 hp-Diesel engines is to be discontinued immediately at
the Di.eselmotorenverke Rostock. The. manufacture of these engines will be
carried out only by BuckauWolf., ~deburg. The Rostock works will
manufacture 400 hh Diesel engines, but there are. difficulties with the
mechanical equipment of the works.
3n The Staatssicherheitsd.ieLst (SSD) has enlarged the Rostocker Hof, partly as a
prison and detention station. There are single cells and so-called torture
chambers.
