also with the party, which was driven away in trucks. This unit was observed

7. Between the 17th and 20th August., parties of 150 to 200 officers and men arrived
at Doeberitz railway with equipment and were driven to the airfield, These
troops were all young, but since none had had very short haircuts, it is thought
that they had proceeded from another station in Germany, The airforce officers
observed were not wearing pilot's badges. It is estimated that with the arrival
of these contingents, totalling approximately 120 officers and 580 men, the
total strength of personnel at this airfield is now roughtly 1200 men.
8,
All Germans working in the Soviet shops for military personnel on this airfield
have now been replaced by Russian women, Whether this procedure also applies to
German'drivers on this airfield, is not yet known.
