THIS IS UNEVALUATED INFORMATION
1. There is a large rolling-stock factory on the west side of the road to Ploesti
about three kilometers from the center of Stalin (Brasov). This factory
employs about 109000 workers. Opposite the factory there are 11 blocks of
workersa rooms and others are being built. One block,, for single men,, houses
560 workmen in 280 rooms; quarters for married workers are designed for
150 families.
2. There is another factory two kilometers along the same road from Stalin, about
one kilometer westward towards the hills. Nothing is known about it except
that it has three tall chimneys.
3. A new factory is being built on the east side of the railway about one
kilometer from Stalin towards Ploesti. It covers approximately three acres
and will employ approximately 1000 workers.
