THIS IS UNEVALUATED INFORMATION
The 7 November Consumers Cooperative in Braila was created in 1950 by
the merger of several smaller cooperatives, including 9 May and Intrecerea
Socialista. The Cooperative supplies the members with foodstuffs, textiles,
fancy goods, shoes and leather goods, et cetera. The central depot is
located at 68 Republicei Boulevard o Braila. There are 112 sales stores
located throughout the town. The main office and all sales stores had a
total of 400 employees in 1951, The Cooperative has 14,000 members in
Braila, all workers. Before stabilization the annual turnover was one
hundred million lei,
