THIS IS UNEVALUATED INFORMATION
1. Near Pft, 2 km. west of the railway station and south of the railway line
jmask6r-P6t and on_the northern slope of Mount Petihegy, a subterranean
construction was observed. Large piles of recently extracted earth were
seen near the-project.- The area was guarded by military personnel.
2e In front of the construction, that is north of the rail tracks, there
was a coal mine in operation from 1943 until 1945.
3. It was learned that a Pet factory, which stopped the production of
synthetic gasoline. in 1.9)49, had resumed work and that its storage
tanks are guarded by Soviet troops. It is possible that the purpose
of the new excavations is to increase the production capacity of this plant.
