Analysis of reports received during the preceding 12 -n onths indicated that
the precedin ; analysis of the organization and equipment of tile artillery
units of the ;`-ighth Guards Army and that Third Shock tray either had not been
valid or was no longer valid, The present analysis is based on all
available information on arrms and personnel 25X1
strengths.
2, In addition to its Aid division, the rifle array has two artillery bri.F:;ades
directly subordinate to it,, One is an AT artil.l r;r brigade and one is a
mixed artillery brit;ade. The two motorized rifle corps also have one
mixed artillery brigade each. All brigades are equipped 'with 7602-r.ua field

which are uost suitable for defense a;.;ainst armored assault The other un
