1, Between 3 and L .'ovember 1952, source observed that construction work was
accelerated at Litten-iOeupurschwitz airfield, IA camouflaged tank installa-
tion was under construction north of the aschuetz-r.eupurschv:itz road near
kilometer marker 3,3, A temporary building was being constructed north of
the same road near kilometer marker 3,7 and another temporary building was
under construction on the Purschwitz-::eupurschuitz road. A- loc o.giotive and
about CO lorries had arr-ved at the field.
2,, Between 3 and 14 T:ovembar, the Ifusaren Kaserne in Lautzen was occupied by 25X1X
about 500 VP men and 200 to 250 Soviet :fir Force soldiers? L o regular
trainink; activity could be observed, 25X1 C
to F-1 Cortrlent, The tiusaren Kaserne in Bautzen is occupied by a VP regiment which
is being trained at the Litton-i:eupurschvitz airfield near Bautzen. The reported
occupation strength of 500 VP men appears too low compared with previous reports
and when compared with the strength of the other VP re,,iments in Cottbus and
Kanenz. The infor::iation that about 200 Soviet instructors are stationed at the
field generally agrees frith the reports frm other VP airfields, The construe-
tion of a tank installation was previously reported for the first time. Se,
