1. The 9 Soviet Marine Infantry Regiment, with a strength of 600 to 700
men', is located in the Mangalia area. The regimental staff and one
battalion are in Mangalia and another battalion is located at Tatlageacul.

2. The Black Sea coast is protected by 220 mm coastal batteries from Man alia
to Tuzla. 25X1
a. One battery $OO meters north of the northern end of Mangalia;
b. Three batteries in the Comarova Bay;
c, One battery at the fork of the Meancea (sic) - Tatlageacul road;
ck. Two batteries on the hill in Tatlageacul municipality;
e. One battery 600 meters south of Meancea Panar (sic);
f. One battery about 500 meters south of Capul Tuzla; and
g. One battery 800 meters north of Capul Tuzla.
3. A submarine pen with concrete cover is under construction between Mangalia
and Hill 32.
