MEMORANDUM FOR HOLDERS OF USIB -D-50.1 /3, 26 July 1960
SUBJECT: Report of USIB Ad Hoc Working Group for Direction-
Finding of Foreign Broadcast Transmitters
1. At its 11 October meeting the Intelligence Board noted the
above report (USIB-D-50. 1/3, 26 July) and approved the recom-
mendations set forth in. Part V (pp. .15-16). The Board also took
certain other action on the paper which is described in more
detail in the Special Annex to USIB - M -12 0, item 9. In this con-
nection, it was agreed that the title of the report should be altered
to make it clear that the term "foreign broadcasts" would be
interpreted to mean those activities designated in Paragraph 8 of
NSCID No. 2.
2. In view of the above action we have reproduced a change
sheet which should be substituted for the corresponding page in
USIB-D-50.1/3, 26 July 1960.
